Woooow two posts in one week. Who am I!?!? Jet lagged, that’s who.
Rather than do anything productive with the time I’ve spent wide awake from 3:30am onwards, I shopped. So I figured I may as well share the fruits of my labor. If you have an ability to make it through the month of September without buying a single new piece for fall you are a stronger person than me and I commend you. If you are weak (like myself) then I apologize for this list in advance but yes you do need that jacket and yes it would pair really well with those flats and yes you do have a similar pair of jeans already but that means they work on you and you may as well double down.

First thing’s first, the basic tee
I stopped into Buck Mason (???) on my walk home the other day and was *flabbergasted* at how soft and perfect their tee shirts were. AND affordable. I bought one in white and black and am eyeing this olivey color as well. Don’t sleep on Theory’s tees, especially their navy or their striped ones. The darker stripe is Kule and they also make a damn good tee if I do say so myself. And lastly, as if Kim K needs any more accolades, I think she may have cracked the tee shirt code once and for all. I bought black and grey and may go back for thirds.
Sweater Weather
Cannot stress enough how much you need to experience the COS cashmere — the green and red sweaters here are both proud new members of my closet and have already gotten more air time than some things I bough in 2018. The Alex Mill button down cardigan also went viral because it’s just that good and it now comes in navy. I love this ribbed brown turtleneck and am not over the fair isle trend so might need this one as well. You can never go wrong with cashmere or stripes so put them together and you’ve got a winner. Also loving this double sweater situation from Naadam? And lastly, Guest in Residence’s oversized sweater which has saved my life while traveling on more than one occasion. Runs large.
Light jacket season is the best season
I definitely don’t need any more lightweight jackets but need vs. want are very different things and I’ve never let this inhibit me before so why start now??? Stopped into Theory the other day and this cashmere jacket cardigan thing was very comfy and cute. I own this jacket from COS in two colors and they’re my most worn items. I RAN to buy this from Mango and hope it is not sold out by the time I get around to sending this (this is a good alternative if so). I also bought this double breasted jacket from Mango because they were running a promo and I am nothing if not a sucker for a good promo. This wrap thing looks odd as a flat lay but on the model it is chic chic chic. And for some reason this leather jacket flat lay looks kind of cheap but have seen it in person and it’s adorable (peter pan collar and all). My mom has sold me on this Sacai vest, throw it on over a chunky sweater and you’re good to go. And lastly, another Mango jacket I’ll be adding to cart as soon as I forget about how much money I spent on clothes this week.
It’s boot season, baby
I understand loving summer but a season where it is nearly impossible to put something on your feet that won’t cause excruciating pain is just not for me. BOOTS ARE THE BEST. Who knew Vince made the most perfect pair of classic black chelseas? And A patent square toe is a great way to mix it up, unless you want to go a little crazy with the suede lace ups (I’d commend!!). I also love a tall boot with a skirt or dress for fall. These brown chelsea boots are also classics, and this classic pair is by a brand that seems relatively undiscovered which is crazy to me considering the price point. I looove a funky chunky boot, and lastly, you can never go wrong with docs.
Some really good pants
I have these red jeans and get so many compliments when I wear them that I figured I’d pass the secret along to you guys. Also eyeing this striped jean to wear with a simple sweater, and these JW Anderson pants have been haunting me in my sleep. Lastly, my mother specifically requested that I put these on here as she loves them and they do look pretty cute on her so I’m sure they’d look cute on you too.
Some really good jeans
I swear by every single style Moussy makes and these cuffed jeans got me a compliment from a very chic man on the airplane. I also ordered this pair because the fit is unreal. I know I don’t need another cuffed jean, but maybe I do, and it would be this pair if so. Lastly, I have been wanting a pair of EB denim wide legs for so long but haven’t dove in yet so please report back if you take the plunge.
Season of the flats
You can only get away with flats for so long before your feet start to freeze so time to seize the day. Obsessed with this gingham pair, not over the stud trend, and cowhide flats??? You’re joking. I have this studded pair from TB which aren’t new but also aren’t old IMO and are SO comfortable. Loving a silver loafer to spice things up, and if anyone needs my address to send me these Simone Rocha broges just LMK.
Substack is notifying me that I’m reaching the email length limit so I’ll cut myself off here. Happy shopping, and please let me know if you buy anything as it weirdly brings me a lot of joy.
