My Retail Therapy hiatus is over. Full disclosure, writing this newsletter is time consuming and I found that by the time I was finally able to finish one, half the items I’d used were sold out. But alas, I’m back. Fall is almost here (hallelujah) and I’ve found myself reverting back to my hidden folder of screenshots and IG saves I’ve accumulated for outfit inspo in anticipation of cooler temps.
Thanks for reading Retail Therapy! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.
If you are in any of the below photos I hope you will only be 5% creeped out and 95% flattered, although that’s likely wishful thinking on my part. I think these outfits absolutely rocked and I want to wear them myself, so I shopped them all out for you guys in case you want to do the same.
Sparknotes: buy the Lisa Yang crew neck in everycolor they make it in, trade in your Citizen’s horseshoe jeans for their new Marcelle pants, save your splurge for outerwear (I’m currently eyeing this), and don’t miss Juju’s new jewels!!!
XOXO

I have no idea why I am so obsessed with this outfit considering it is fairly basic, but NOT with the right accessories. This white tee is one of my favorites and is the perfect level of boxy. Pair it with tailored jeans and a chic black sandal by The Row (feels appropriate), and a handbag that I’m pretty sure is a dupe of The Row but who’s counting. Lastly, my dear friend Julia just launched her FABULOUS new line of Greek-inspired gems and jewels and I can’t think of a better way to cap off the look.
This is Diana Garcia Urbina, who I’m pretty sure is based in Spain, and she is one of the most stylish girl’s on the internet IMO.
This leather jacket is hands-down one of the best things I have put on my body and I swear I’ll be wearing it in my grave. Don’t miss the chic little cuff detail on these barrel leg jeans, paired perfectly with the BEST sweater known to (wo)man. I own it in three colors, it’s the perfect weight and length and isn’t going to break the bank but also won’t pill after two wears. This is not the last time you’ll see it in this newsletter. Throw it on over a ruffly white button down, the girlier the better, some black socks, cute white flats, and one of the more affordable bags by The Row I’ve seen to date (although that’s not saying much).
Now we all know where she gets it from!!! I am obsessed with this outfit. No notes. Levi’s jacket, crisp white button down, a new barrel leg from Citizen’s that will rival the Horseshoe Jeans I convinced you to buy last season (I have them in navy), brown boots that I also just ordered myself and The Row dupe bag that I already put here in red but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Full disclosure: this is not the only photo of Jalil that has made it into my inspo folders. He never misses. Here is my beloved Lisa Yang sweater in ivory, my favorite Citizen’s pants in army green, loafers that are keeping me awake at night, and one of the most perfect striped shirts to ever exist.
Now I know why my mother never wears sweats to the grocery store. This girl looks so insanely cool that I’m not sure it could even translate but we might as well try right? Carhartt jacket, beloved COS cashmere sweater, really good jeans, my trusty Amazon baseball cap, Wales Bonner Adidas (the best) and a COS bag.
Also no idea who this is
This came from a random street style account. This H&M trench is scary good, and I’d pair it with the best low-rise jeans from Agolde that I just ordered myself as well (will report back). Another bag by The Row (sorry), white socks and the best loafers around.
Very chic lady from the NYC street style Instagram account
Someone recently pointed out to me that I am almost always wearing something black so I’m making a conscious effort to NOT do that as it sounds rather depressing. If I haven’t convinced you to buy this Lisa Yang sweater yet I’m not sure what will. I love my Levi’s 90s 501s and these Gucci moccasins have been haunting me for weeks now. Throw on the trusty J. Crew bag and some fun frames and you’re good to go.
The ShopBop styling team hit this one out of the park
ShopBop is not usually the site to nail their ecomm styling but here we are! It’s short sleeve cashmere sweater season (time to capitalize as it only lasts about 12 days), and this is yet another Lisa Yang sweater in a different style. I love a cuffed jean and a classic black flat (Mansur Gavriel makes the best ones but go easy on them as they’re not so tough when it comes to standing up to the elements). J.Crew bag again.
