Guys, it’s COLD!!! Unpopular opinion: I like the cold. More layers = more opportunities to wear things, from coats to jackets to cute and cozy knits that I’ll likely be living in until springtime. While my mother would guffaw at this, I came to the realization a few days ago that I am actually *lacking* in the cute and cozy knit department — everything is either too worn or too bulky or too itchy. I am a firm believer that you need a solid rotation of knitwear to carry you through winter (some will likely be trapped at the cleaner’s so you’ll obviously need backup…). Below are my favorites, it’s time to layer up!

Loving a cropped short sleeve sweater to pair with a maxi skirt or wide leg jeans, and a sweater vest over a button down is always chic. You can’t go wrong with any of these:
1. A perfect (and affordable) sweater vest — I love the drop shoulder. 2. Khaite is expensive and I actually tend to boycott their cashmere due to pricing, but I think this piece will be a winter workhorse. 3. Love the color and love the neck detailing of this one, would pair so well with denim and a chic belt.
Something about a polo sweater or a cardigan makes knitwear feel a little more polished, so these are all great options for when you don’t want to feel frumpy but also don’t want to sacrifice comfort.
1. Apparently the color orange can be controversial (news to me) but I plan on looking like a pumpkin all season long — especially with a khaki pant and a brown loafer. 2. Goop makes GOOD clothes. This sweater is no exception. 3. Banana cashmere is a great price point and you can wear the sh$# out of it without feeling guilty. 4. Love the contrasting buttons on this one from Lisa Yang. 5. Never can have enough stripes, and apparently Ciao Lucia makes cute knitwear now? 6. Another good one from Banana. 7. Hi mom I know you’re reading this, feel free to text me abotu my typos and also feel free to buy me this sweater for xmas :) 8. Grandma knitwear but make it chic.
It’s turtleneck time!!!!
1. Alex Mill! Alex Mill! Alex Mill! 2. I went to the Guest in Residence flagship store and tried a bunch of things on (for research purposes, obviously…) and this was a top contender. Say what you want but Gigi knows what she’s doing when it comes to knits. 3. Apparently everyone already has this, but it turns out there is a reason for it (it’s perfect), so if for some reason you don’t it’s time to hop on board. 4. J. Crew cashmere cable knits speak for themselves. 5. COS actually makes great cashmere but it sells out fast so act quickly… 6. Allude is a sleeper brand that makes sweaters identical to The Row and a quarter (an eighth?!) of the price. 7. More Allude…. 8. More Allude and I’ll stop now I promise!!
Stripes on stripes:
1. I’ve had this La Ligne sweater for a few seasons now and I never get sick of it — it’s the perfect boxy crop. 2. I’m actually so mad at their production team for botching this photo — I tried this on in store and it was the only thing I bought. It’s NAVY, not black, and is a Khaite duuuupe from last season. She cute! 3. This is a new brand and it’s fun, have had this sitting in my cart for a while now… 4. Kule does a lot of things right, especially when it comes to stripes. 5. Another Khaite sweater I’m drooling over. 6. Autumn Cashmere is making a comeback and here is a cute striped turtleneck to prove it!
XOXO
